Seven girls players from District 2, including two each from district champions Delaware Valley, Berwick and Holy Redeemer, were named all-state by the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association.
Nanticoke’s Myla Vnuk also received the recognition.
Junior outside hitters Jazmyn Bates and Emily Henn represented Delaware Valley, which took an unbeaten record into state play after winning Wyoming Valley Conference and District 2 titles, on the Class 4A team.
Juniors Cecelia Isenberg, a 6-foot-2 outside hitter, and Morgan Nevel, a setter, made the team in Class 3A for Berwick.
Vnuk is a 6-1 junior outside hitter, who helped Nanticoke reach the district final. She is also on the Class 3A team.
Holy Redeemer outside hitters Eva Szura, a senior, and Kaylee Gryboski, a sophomore, made the Class 2A team.
