Team champions
North Pocono won both the District 2 Class 3A and Lackawanna League championships.
Holy Redeemer and Montrose won the District 2 Class 2A and A titles.
Crestwood was the Wyoming Valley Conference champion.
Individual champions
North Pocono’s Caleb Kenyon, in Class 3A; Lake-Lehman’s Nick Hockenbury, in Class 2A; and Riverside’s Daniel Danilovitz, in Class A, were the District 2 winners.
State impact
North Pocono’s Kenyon finished the Hershey Parkview Course in 16:03.6 to place third in the state in Class 3A at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Championship.
Montrose had District 2’s best team finish, placing 10th in Class A.
Riverside’s Danilovitz was 11th, Dunmore’s Joseph Cardillo 22th and Montrose’s Nate Sinkovich was 23rd to claim state medals in Class A.
Lake-Lehman’s Hockenbury was 24th in Class 2A.

North Pocono finished the season as the No. 1 team in the Century Dental Associates Cross Country Power Ranking of District 2 teams.
The Trojans were followed by No. 2 Abington Heights, No. 3 Holy Redeemer, No. 4 Lake-Lehman, No. 5 Crestwood, No. 6 Montrose, No. 7 Mid Valley, No. 8 Dallas, No. 9 Scranton Prep, No. 10 Honesdale, No. 11 Blue Ridge, No. 12 Berwick.
Noteworthy
Dunmore freshman Tommy Clark missed a state medal by one place, finishing 26th in Class A. … Lake-Lehman defeated Crestwood, 25-30, in a WVC meeting between eventual co-champions. Crestwood had the upperhand at the Ed Narkiewicz/WVC Coaches Championship Meet despite Hockenbury winning the individual title for Lake-Lehman.
