Connor Cranage scored 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and made 7 steals and Carson Gallagher sparked a fast start Friday night as Blue Ridge handled defending District 2 Class 2A champion Wyalusing Valley, 71-47, in the second game of the Susquehanna-Bradford County Challenge at Susquehanna.
The Raiders jumped out to leads of 30-16 after one quarter, 44-26 at halftime and 65-40 through three quarters.
Gallagher hit three 3-pointers while Cranage and Ryan Scott had seven points each in the first quarter.
Scott finished with 13 points, J.J. Rosa had 12 and Gallagher had 11. Rosa also had 7 steals.
Dylan Bradley shared the team lead of 10 rebounds with Cranage.
Blake Morningstar scored 29 points for the Rams. He had 15 in the first half and added 12 more in the third quarter.
Blue Ridge, which opened the season as the No. 6 Small School boys team in the Riverfront Sports Super Six Power Rankings of District 2 basketball tems, plays Sayre at 2:30 Saturday. Wyalusing Valley, which is coached by former Saber Brent Keyes, plays host Susquehanna at 7.

Jackson Hubbard scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half to rally Sayre from a 21-16 halftime deficit in the Susquehanna-Bradford County Challenge.
Colton Stone led Susquehanna with 24 points.
