Colin Kravitz, a state track and field medalist from North Pocono, announced his commitment to compete on the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I level at Boston College.
Kravitz revealed the decision Saturday night on his Instagram account.
“It’s been a childhood dream of mine to be a D1 college athlete,” Kravitz wrote in the Instagram post.
Kravitz won three District 2 gold medals – in the 200- and 400-meter dash and the 1600 relay. He made big contributions to North Pocono’s district Class 3A team championships in both his sophomore and junior seasons.
At the state meet in Shippensburg, Kravitz medaled in the 400 by finishing seventh.
