Abington Heights and Wallenpaupack remained unbeaten overall while matching opening Lackawanna League Division 1 wrestling victories Wednesday night.
Defending champion Abington Heights improved to 7-0 when it downed Scranton, 47-24.
Wallenpaupack ran District 2’s best current overall record in any winter sport to 8-0 while defeating host West Scranton, 39-32.

Abington Heights 47, Scranton 24
Early forfeits contributed to 12-0 and 21-11 deficits, but host Abington Heights rallied to win six of the last seven bouts.
Consecutive pins in under a minute by Aidan Ryan and Sam Stevens at 139 and 145 gave Abington Heights its first lead.
Back-to-back, first-period pins by Brian Heard and Keith Yusinski at 160 and 172 combined with a forfeit coming up in the next bout to clinch the victory.
Caleb Marzolino finished up with a 56-second pin at 215 to match Heard for the team’s best record at 10-0.
Javon James had a pin at 285 to lead Scranton.
Wallenpaupack 39, West Scranton 32
Defending district champion Gunnar Myers remained unbeaten while clinching the win for the Buckhorns with a first-period pin at 145.
Myers (11-0) gave Wallenpaupack a 39-21 lead with two bouts left.
After the Buckhorns won five straight bouts for a 27-3 lead, Tyson Cook, Jason Williams and Michael Turi needed just 2:08 total to pin opponents and 121, 127 and 133 and pull West Scranton within 27-21.
Honesdale 65, North Pocono 6
Honesdale took advantage of seven forfeits and got a first-period pin by Paul Renner at 215 while winning the Lackawanna Division 2 opener.
Scranton Prep 60, Elk Lake 6
Elk Lake’s John Tyler had the quickest pin, in 1:24 at 189 pounds, but Scranton Prep made the most of six forfeits and an injury default to the post the rout in the Lackawanna Division 3 opener.
Mackey Lynett had a first-period pin for Scranton Prep at 139.
