Anthony Karpinski scored 18 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and made 4 steals Thursday night while leading host Riverside to the title of the Taylor Lions Boys Basketball Tournament with a 61-38 victory over West Scranton.
Karpinski was selected as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
Teammate Frankie Antoniacci made the all-tournament team along with West Scranton’s Tristan Lee and Zach Price.
Stroudsburg 66, Lackawanna Trail 22
Stroudsburg defeated Lackawanna Trail in Thursday’s early game to take third place.
Richard Gilmore from Stroudsburg and Jake Antolick from Lackawanna Trail made the all-tournament team.
Gilmore led the way with 19 points.
Braden Savage led the Lions with nine points while Antolick added seven.
Riverside 67, Lackawanna Trail 25
Antoniacci scored 22 points Tuesday when Riverside handled Lackawanna Trail in a semifinal game.
Mason Rickert added 12.
West Scranton 47, Stroudsburg 45
West Scranton’s Evan Laybourn-Boddie turned a steal into the game-winning basket with about 10 seconds left in Tuesday’s first semifinal.
Lee led the way with 18 points in the victory.
