Maggie Coleman scored 14 points Feb. 25 when Abington Heights avenged a regular-season loss, beating Wallenpaupack, 35-27, in the District 2 Class 5A girls basketball semifinals.
Wallenpaupack had defeated Abington Heights, 45-28, Feb. 9 on the way to the Lackawanna League Division 2 title.
Abington Heights took a 24-19 halftime lead in the rematch, then held Wallenpaupack to one second-half field goal.
Madison Zalewski made a 3-pointer and Peyton Houlihan also had three points in the fourth quarter when the Lady Comets limited the Lady Buckhorns to four free throws.
The win clinched a state playoff berth for Abington Heights.
