Four players from overall boys champion Holy Redeemer will play one last game for their coach, Paul Guido, Friday night when the 54th annual Dr. George P. Moses Wyoming Valley Conference Senior All-Star Classic is played at Wilkes-Barre Area High School.
The doubleheader begins with the girls game at 6:30 p.m.
The basketball all-star contests for Wyoming Valley Conference seniors is being held at Wilkes-Barre Area for the second straight year.
Finals of the 3-Point Contest, which began at practice earlier this week, will be held at halftime of each game.
Morgan Janeski from Wyoming Area and Claudia Siegfried from Wyoming Valley West will compete for the girls title.
Jack O’Donnell from Dallas, who competed in the preliminary round although he is not on the game roster, made the boys final where he will go against Crestwood’s Brandon Burbank.
Mark Casper from Wyoming Area and Ed Grant from Nanticoke will serve as coaches in the girls game.
Hailey Kline from overall champion Lake-Lehman will represent the Lady Knights on Team Grant. Lia Keefe, who suffered a serious knee injury in the team’s final game in the state Class 3A quarterfinals, was also selected for the game.
Guido and Tunkhannock’s Spencer Lunger will serve as head coaches in the boys game.
Holy Redeemer’s Jacob Hunter, Zach Perta, Darryl Wright and Jeff Kozerski will play for Team Guido.
