The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association continues to work on plans for its baseball and softball state tournaments, which open Monday.
The PIAA has not yet released the sites and starting times, but NEPASportsNation.com has learned of the sites and starting times to be used for first-round games involving District 2 teams.
Both Hazleton Area teams, as well as the Elk Lake baseball team and the Valley View and Mid Valley softball teams, will get to play at home.
