Elk Lake, the last unbeaten team left, and Holy Cross each moved up while North Pocono moved into the rankings in the updated Riverfront Sports Super Six Softball Power Rankings of District 2 teams.
Holy Redeemer and Mid Valley each suffered their first defeats in the week between the initial set of rankings and the first updated set, which was released Wednesday afternoon, but remained 1-2 among Small Schools.
Tunkhannock, which handed Mid Valley its first loss, held on to No. 1 among Big Schools, which includes Classes 6A, 5A and 4A.
The Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1-leading Lady Tigers have already clinched a berth in the District 2 Class 4A playoffs where they currently lead the ratings race for the top seed. They won four times in the week to improve to 11-1.
Abington Heights, West Scranton, Honesdale and Pittston Area remained second through fifth among Big Schools. Abington Heights and Honesdale each won their only game while West Scranton did not play. Pittston Area suffered its first WVC Division 1 loss, 3-2, to Dallas.
North Pocono replaced Hazleton Area in the sixth spot after the Lady Cougars lost their second and third games in a row.
Holy Redeemer and Mid Valley are both unbeaten in their divisions after losing non-league games. The Holy Redeemer loss came outside the district, against Bloomsburg, 7-4, during a week when the Royals also won three times.
Mid Valley beat ranked opponents Holy Cross and Old Forge in its other two games during the week.
Lake-Lehman held on to third by winning its only game.
Holy Cross went 3-1 during the week to move from fifth to fourth.
Elk Lake, the Lackawanna Division 4 leader, won twice by a total of 20-1 to move up one spot to fifth.
Old Forge split its four games and slipped from fourth to sixth.
