Old Forge and Forest City slammed their way into the District 2 Class A championship game with semifinal victories Thursday.
Arie Brown’s grand slam in the bottom of the eighth inning ended Old Forge’s 11-7 victory over Lackawanna Trail.
Vanessa Hodges hit a grand slam and drove in another run as Forest City used a pair of seven-run innings to blast host Blue Ridge, 20-4, in six innings.
Forest City (12-9) will be at Old Forge (15-6) Wednesday night at 7 for the district title.
Old Forge will be playing in its 12th district final in 15 years. The Lady Devils have won six of their last seven.
Forest City avenged a 13-3 loss from the last week of the regular season.
Bella Pleska had four hits and scored four times in the win.
