A look at the next opponent for the six District 2 teams that won quarterfinal games in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association state baseball and softball tournaments Thursday.
All state semifinals are scheduled for Monday.
The matchups for District 2 teams (opponents are listed by district, district place finish and Thursday results):
Class 4A baseball – Wyoming Area vs. 12-1, Bonner-Prendergast, a 9-7 winner over Holy Ghost Prep
Class 3A baseball – Lake-Lehman vs. 3-1, Oley Valley, an 8-6 winner over Scranton Prep
Class 2A baseball – Riverside vs. 11-1, Schuylkill Haven, a 10-2 winner over Camp Hill
Class 5A softball – West Scranton vs. 3-1, Lampeter-Strasburg, a 5-0 winner over Springfield-Delco
Class 4A softball – Tunkhannock vs. 11-1, Bethlehem Catholic, a 6-0 winner over Villa Joseph Marie
Class 3A softball – Mid Valley vs. 4-2, Central Columbia, a 3-0 winner over Pequea Valley
