Swimming rankings hold steady

No. 1 Hazleton Area edged No. 3 Dallas, 85½-84½, in a Wyoming Valley Conference boys meet and otherwise ranked teams went 6-0, all facing unranked teams, in the past week.

As a result, there are no changes in the latest Riverfront Sports Super Six Swimming Power Rankings of District 2 teams.

The latest rankings were posted Tuesday afternoon.

The Hazleton Area boys and Scranton Prep girls remained first.

Scranton Prep defeated Dunmore, 132-27, in a Lackawanna League girls meet.

Hazleton Area is followed, in order, by: Delaware Valley, Dallas, Wyoming Seminary, Scranton Prep and Holy Redeemer.

Scranton Prep is followed by: Dallas, Wyoming Seminary, Delaware Valley, Tunkhannock and Valley View.

In the big meet of the week, Logan Jakubowski won the maximum four events to lead Hazleton Area while Liam Leonard won one individual event and joined Jakubowski on two relay wins.

Maddock Watkins and Tommy Doran each won two individual events and a relay for Dallas.
