Buffalo (5-5 overall, 0-1 MAC) lost at Kent State (9-3 overall, 1-0 MAC), 64-63

Notes

Kent State outscored Buffalo, 20-13, in the fourth quarter to erase a six-point deficit in the Mid-American Conference opener. … Buffalo regained the lead with four seconds to go, only to have Clare Kelly hit a runner in the lane to lift Kent State to the win. … “Having a chance to win a game with four seconds left on the road against a good basketball team says a lot about how far we have come,” Burke said, according to a recap posted on the Buffalo athletic website. … Buffalo shot 27.3 percent (3-for-11) from 3-point range and 50 percent (6-for-12) from the free throw line.
