Thursday’s National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I basketball schedule saw the teams of six District 2 graduates playing.

Here is a recap of how each did:

BOBBY PLANUTIS, PURDUE FORT WAYNE MEN

6-foot-8 graduate student forward from Hazleton Area

Thursday’s result

Purdue Fort Wayne (11-5 overall, 3-2 Horizon League) defeated visiting Green Bay (2-14 overall, 1-4 Horizon League), 79-69

Individual statistics

Started, played 34 minutes; 4/6 FG, 1/2 on 3-pointers, 9 points; 1 offensive rebound; 1 assist; 2 steals.

Notes

Jarred Godfrey led Purdue Fort Wayne with 23 points, moving to second in school history with 1,855 points, behind only current NBA player John Konchar of the Memphis Grizzlies.

LEO O’BOYLE, LAFAYETTE COLLEGE MEN

6-foot-7 senior forward from Scranton Prep

Thursday’s result

Lafayette (2-14 overall, 0-3 Patriot League) lost at Boston University (9-7 overall, 2-1 Patriot League), 73-69 in overtime.

Individual statistics

Did not play.

Notes

Boston University outscored Lafayette, 11-7, in the overtime period to secure the victory. … O’Boyle averages a team-high 11.6 points per game. He had played the previous 15 games, starting 14.

ETHAN MEUSER, STONEHILL COLLEGE MEN

6-foot-8 freshman guard from Wyoming Seminary

Thursday’s result

Stonehill (6-11 overall, 2-1 NEC) defeated visiting Wagner (8-6 overall, 1-2 NEC), 62-58

Notes

Stonehill outscored Wagner, 41-34, in the second half to overcome a three-point halftime deficit.

RACHAEL ROSE, WOFFORD COLLEGE WOMEN

5-foot-7 sophomore guard from Scranton Prep

Wofford (11-4 overall, 1-0 SoCon) defeated visiting Furman (8-8 overall, 0-1 SoCon), 79-55

Notes

Wofford placed four players in double figures, led by Rose’s 16 points.

Bucknell (4-10 overall, 0-3 Patriot League) lost at Lehigh (6-8 overall, 2-1 Patriot League), 64-51

Bucknell led after one quarter of play, but Lehigh outscored the Bison, 27-11, in the second quarter to gain a lead it would not surrender. … Both teams shot 39 percent from the field on the night, but the Mountain Hawks made nine 3-pointers to Bucknell’s two which proved the definitive margin. … Collins’ streak of 47 straight starts ended.
