Thursday’s National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I basketball schedule saw four District 2 graduates playing.

Here is a recap of how each did:

RACHAEL ROSE, WOFFORD COLLEGE WOMEN

5-foot-7 sophomore guard from Scranton Prep

Thursday’s result

Wofford (13-5 overall, 3-1 SoCon) defeated visiting University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (10-9 overall, 2-2 SoCon), 64-51

Individual statistics

Started, played 37 minutes; 3/9 FG, 2/2 on 3-pointers, 3/5 FT, 11 points; 2 offensive, 5 defensive, 7 total rebounds; 5 assists; 1 turnover; 2 steals.

Notes

Behind the energy of a season-high crowd, Wofford jumped out to a 21-6 lead after one quarter of play. … The win extends Wofford’s Division I-record home winning streak to 10 games. Wofford has now won four in a row over Tennessee at Chattanooga. … Wofford’s 64 points were scored by just four players. Jackie Carman and Lilly Hatton led the way with 21 points each. Rose and Helen Matthews scored 11 points each.

Notes

Rider ran into a sharp-shooting Iona team on Thursday. The Gaels shot 63.2 percent (36-for-57) from the floor and a record 88.9 percent (16-for-18) from 3-point range. … Iona used a 24-8, second-quarter advantage to lead at halftime, 50-26. … Toomey scored in double figures for the seventh time this season and tied for team lead in assists.

BOBBY PLANUTIS, PURDUE FORT WAYNE MEN

Purdue Fort Wayne (13-7 overall, 5-4 Horizon League) defeated host Wright State (11-9 overall, 4-5 Horizon League), 88-80

Notes

Planutis was one of five Mastodons to score in double figures in the win over Wright State. … Purdue Fort Wayne scored a season-best 51 points in the first half and led, 51-35, at the break. … The Mastodons defense forced 17 turnovers and converted them into 23 points.

Came off the bench, played 13 minutes; 1/2 FG, 2 points; 3 defensive rebounds; 1 turnover.

Notes

Bryant used a late first-half run and led the entire second half in the win over NJIT. … The game was tight throughout the first half. With the score tied at 33 with just over two minutes remaining in the first half, Bryant went on a 10-0 run to end the half. … The Bulldogs increased their lead to as many as 18 points in the second half.
