Faison’s statistics versus San Diego are all season-highs. … He is averaging 2.3 points and 3.3 rebounds through three games.

Rider (1-2) defeated host St. Francis Brooklyn (1-2), 71-70, in overtime.

Toomey started, played 32 minutes, 5/9 FG, 2/2 on FT, 12 points; 1 offensive, 5 defensive, 6 total rebounds; 5 assists; 3 turnovers.

Rider was outscored, 21-8, in the second quarter, but used a strong second half to outscore St. Francis Brooklyn, 39-30, and force overtime. … A 3-pointer by Makayla Firebaugh with 10.2 seconds remaining in overtime and subsequent stop on the defensive end led to the Broncos first win of the season. … Rider jumped out to an early 12-4 lead behind two points and three assists from Toomey. … Toomey is shooting 56 percent (14-for-25) from the field and 90.9 percent (10-for-11) from the free-throw line.
