Lafayette trailed 36-26 at the half. … Monday’s matchup against St. Joseph’s is the third of five games away from home to open the 2022-23 season. The Leopards will play 11 of their 13 non-conference games on the road.

Lafayette travels to Baltimore this weekend. The Leopards face University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) Friday at 2 p.m. and Central Connecticut State University Saturday at noon.

Buffalo (1-1) defeated host Stonehill (0-3), 62-56.

Tonight’s victory marks the first for Burke as the University at Buffalo head coach…Her career record is 114-56 in her seventh season as a head coach. … ”I can’t say enough about how proud I am of this team,” Burke said, according to a recap posted on the school’s athletic website. “I saw a ton of growth both offensively and defensively tonight, especially when we faced some adversity. This is a big step in the right direction for us. We are a team that’s a steady work in progress and they are getting better every day.” … Stonehill has entered a four-year transition to full NCAA Division I membership.
