Yencha was the Central Atlantic Athletic Conference’s first Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 14 when she had back-to-back double-doubles and seven steals in two games. … Yencha is one rebound against Shippensburg short of having double-doubles in all four games. She averages 13.0 points and a team-high 10.8 rebounds while shooting a team-best 70.4 percent from the floor. … She had six points and a blocked shot in a 10-4 run to end the third quarter after Shippensburg had cut a 14-point halftime deficit to six. … The 19 points vs. Kutztown was Yencha’s career-high. … The Rams have not been behind yet this season.

Bloomsburg trailed, 64-60, entering the fourth quarter. A layup and pair of free throws by Starr tied the game, 64-64, within the first two minutes of the final quarter. … Bloomsburg’s defense held Chestnut Hill to five points in the fourth quarter. … Purdy suffered a serious knee injury late in her senior high school season and has not played yet.

Despite starting just twice, Planutis was Mercyhurst’s third-leading scorer last season with 11 points per game. … In 43 games during first two seasons, Planutis had 384 points, 126 rebounds, 43 steals, 39 assists and 27 blocked shots. … Mercyhurst does not play its second game until Dec. 2 at West Chester.

Farrell did not play in the opening weekend. … East Stroudsburg won the title at the Bowie State Tipoff Classic. … Last season, Farrell made his first 10 college appearances, playing 40 minutes and producing 7 points, 17 rebounds. … He had six rebounds in six minutes during a February game with Bloomsburg. … Sunday’s game vs. D’Youville was postponed and will be made up Nov. 29.
