The Vulcans climbed three places to a tie for No. 15 in the latest edition of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top 25 poll. The win over Alderson Broaddus gave California 3 straight victories by at least 15 points. … The game against Shippensburg was the third time this season that Loyd, an all-PSAC West first-team choice last season, scored at least 20. … Lock Haven limited California to 23 first-half points. en – California (PA) was limited to 23 points in the first half. …With the loss, the Vulcans have lost back-to-back games for the first time since January 2020. … Loyd and Jordan Smith combined for 11 points in a 12-4 run to open the second half and get within 39-35 of Lock Haven.
