Blue Devils, Crusaders, Spartans climb in Small School rankings

Old Forge, Holy Cross and Mid Valley made upward movements in this week’s Riverfront Sports Super Six Baseball Power Rankings of District 2 teams.

The Blue Devils and Crusaders moved up one spot each to third and fourth among Small Schools while Mid Valley moved into the rankings.

The new rankings were posted early Saturday morning.

The Big School rankings were unchanged when the six teams from the original rankings of the season combined for an 11-0 week.

Hazleton Area is first followed by unbeatens Wallenpaupack and Wyoming Area. North Pocono, Abington Heights and Pittston Area complete the Big School rankings.

Riverside and Lake-Lehman remain 1-2 among Small Schools even after Lake-Lehman was upset by Honesdale in a Friday non-league game.

Scranton Prep lost twice and slips from third to fifth.

Nanticoke also lost twice and fell from the rankings.
