Bolesta runs for 309 in Dallas win

Parker Bolesta ran for 309 yards and Dallas took charge with 3 touchdowns in less than 2½ minutes late in the first half Friday night when the Mountaineers remained unbeaten with a 41-20 Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 victory at Williamsport.

Dallas, the No. 2 Big School in the Gaughan Auto Store Super Six Power Rankings from NEPAFootball.com, improved to 2-0 in Division 1 and 3-0 overall. Williamsport is 0-1 and 1-2.

The game was scoreless until 4:15 remaining in the first half when Zach Paczewski went up over a defender in the end zone to pull in a 19-yard touchdown pass from Brady Zapoticky.

The Mountaineers scored again 1:20 later, then another 1:07 after that.

Bolesta went up the middle for a 50-yard touchdown and 13-point lead. He finished the night averaging more than 12 yards on his 25 carries, which included a 56-yard touchdown late in the third quarter and a 75-yarder early in the fourth.

Dallas went into the locker room with a 20-0 lead after Zapoticky hit Dylan Geskey for a 62-yard touchdown.

Zapoticky was just 8-for-22, but he passed for 161 yards and the 2 touchdowns. Geskey had 101 yards on 3 catches.

Nasir Hennigan, who carried 20 times for 270 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead Williamsport, cut the deficit to 20-6 midway through the third quarter with a 53-yard touchdown run. His other two scores came on 32- and 62-yard runs after the game had reached the Mercy Rule with 7:15 remaining.

Dallas got to the running clock with another three-touchdown outburst, this one producing 21 straight points in 5½ minutes.

Bolesta’s two long scoring runs were followed by an 11-yard Mike Lewis touchdown run.

The teams combined for 900 yards of total offense, with Dallas gaining 494 to Williamsport’s 406.
