Both NEPA Elite boys teams split their two games Saturday in the Summer Jam Fest, a season-ending event at Spooky Nook Sports in Manheim where the Hoop Group Showcase League is being determined.
The Coyle 17U and Joyce 15 teams each went 1-1 for the day.
The Coyle 17U team was knocked out of HGSL contention with a loss Friday night and is playing in the 17U Spooky bracket where it won its first game Saturday, then lost its second.
The victory came 62-45 over Virginia Premier before a 68-52 loss to Middlesex Magic-Crotty.
On the 15U level, the Joyce team opened its HGSL Championship play with a 61-52 loss to New Jersey Shoreshots-Kovner.
The Joyce team bounced back with a 51-28 victory over Global Squad-HGSL.
