Bulldogs hand Royals first defeat

Blaze Croop had 13 kills and Brock Seely had 10 while each also made other contributions Tuesday when Berwick went on the road and handed Holy Redeemer its first loss with a three-set, Wyoming Valley Conference boys volleyball sweep.

The Bulldogs won by set scores of 28-26, 25-20, 25-20 to improve to 7-2 and drop Holy Redeemer to 5-1.

Seely also contributed 13 digs, 8 service points and 5 aces. Croop had 11 points, 3 aces and 8 digs.

Jackson Matash set up the offense, finishing with 29 assists and 8 digs.

Jayden Charles chipped in with 13 digs while Jayden Powell had 7 kills.

Cody Rood had eight kills, five digs and four points for Holy Redeemer while Jack Wasiakowski had 24 assists, 2 digs, a block and a kill.
