Dominico Spataro completed 19 of 28 passes for 263 yards Friday night as Lakeland completed an unbeaten regular season with a 28-0 shutout of host Mid Valley in a Lackawanna Football Conference Division 2 game.
The Chiefs, who had already clinched at least a first-place tie, won the division title at 5-0. They were the only District 2 football team to make it through the regular-season unbeaten at 10-0.
Mid Valley finished its season 0-5 and 2-8.
The Spartans remained within 13-0 at halftime by stopping the Chiefs in the Red Zone twice.
Spataro threw for two touchdown passes and ran for another. He also threw a two-point conversion to Adam Wormuth, one of the defensive leaders as the Chiefs posted their second shutout and held an opponent without an offensive touchdown for the third time this season.
Lacota Dippre made seven tackles, including one for a loss.
Wormuth made six tackles, including one for a loss, and assisted on another. Andrew Gelderman made three tackles and assisted on seven.
Evan Pochas led the ground game with 109 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.
Dippre, who caught 6 passes for 95 yards, and Jon Seamans, who caught 4 for 90 yards, had the touchdown receptions. Ethan Shea had 5 catches for 34 yards.
The Chiefs head to the playoffs as the top seed in District 2 Class 2A.
