Friday’s National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I basketball schedule saw three District 2 graduates playing.

KYLIE LAVELLE, DREXEL UNIVERSITY WOMEN

Drexel (18-5 overall, 10-2 CAA) defeated visiting Charleston (9-13 overall, 4-8 CAA), 86-61

Notes
Lavelle’s 28 points was a game-high and her fourth game this season with 20 or more points. … With tonight’s win, Drexel tied a season-high with 86 points and won its fifth in a row. …”I just let the game to me.” Lavelle said in a video recap posted on Drexel’s athletic website. “My teammates found me; we executed all our plays, and I was just open around the basket and running the floor.” … Lavelle scored 19 of her 28 points in the first half.

BOBBY PLANUTIS, PURDUE FORT WAYNE MEN

Purdue Fort Wayne (15-11 overall, 7-8 Horizon League) lost to visiting Youngstown State (20-6 overall, 12-3 Horizon League), 81-72

Notes
Jarred Godfrey scored a season-high 33 points but it wasn’t enough as the Mastodons fell to the league-leading Penguins. … Purdue Fort Wayne jumped out to a 13-6 lead, which helped it weather a 6:42 scoreless stretch. Youngstown State used a 17-2 run which began late in the first half and continued to the 17-minute mark of the second half to secure the win and sweep the season series with the Mastodons.

Mount St. Mary’s was led by Dakota Leffew’s 20 points. It was Leffew’s third 20-point outing of the season. … The Mount jumped out to an early 13-4 lead, but Siena responded by scoring the next eight points to cut the deficit. … Tied, 33-33, at halftime, Siena outscored the Mountaineers, 39-32, in the second half. … Mount St. Mary’s finished the game shooting 39.3 percent (22-of-56) from the field and was outrebounded 38-27,
