D-I BASKETBALL: Rider routed

Victoria Toomey was the only District 2 graduate active in National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I basketball games on Friday.

Rider struggled with a quick turnaround from playing St. Joseph’s Wednesday. Seton Hall jumped out early and led, 44-11, at halftime. … ”We ran into a really good team that’s playing well right now on their home floor. The short rest from Wednesday night caught up with us a little bit, but we’ve got to get better,” Rider coach Lynn Milligan in a recap posted on the university’s athletic website. … Toomey is shooting 52.7 percent (29-for-55) and 88.9 percent (16-for-18) from the free throw line this season.
