D-I BASKETBALL: Rose, Wofford fall during visit to Tennessee

Wofford was not able to overcome Tennessee’s size in the loss in Knoxville. … The Terriers were held to 27.9 percent shooting and 20.7 percent from 3-point range. … “Not the performance that we really wanted to have here, but we played a team in Tennessee that is really talented,” head coach Jimmy Garrity said in a recap posted on the school’s athletic website. “We typically pride ourselves on shooting the ball well. Tonight we just didn’t shoot well, but to be honest, that’s more of an indication to how Tennessee guarded us.”

Kevin Osawe posted a double-double in his second straight home game to lead the Highlanders to a win in its final non-conference game. … The Highlanders never trailed and led for the final 36 minutes of the game.
