Madison Hedglin finished in 19:40 to lead five Dallas runners in the top seven of a six-team cluster meet Wednesday when the Lady Mountaineers wrapped up a perfect Wyoming Valley Conference girls cross country season with three victories.
Hedglin was the only girl to break 20 minutes in the meet at Northwest to cap a 16-0 regular season in the WVC.
Sarah Williams followed Hedglin to the finish line to give Dallas a 1-2 finish.
The Lady Mountaineers beat Northwest and Berwick by 15-48 scores and Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech, 15-50.
Lake-Lehman beat the same three opponents, topping Northwest, 22-46; Berwick, 17-46; and CMVT, 15-48.
and Berwick, 15-46, to go along with a 15-48 victory over CMVT.
Alana Palmaioli and Hannah Sayre led the way, finishing third and fourth.
Olivia Thomas, Julianna Sobocinski and Erika Doran from Dallas placed fifth, sixth and seventh.
Lake-Lehman’s Liv Corcoran, Northwest’s Brooke Bair and Berwick’s Kaylie Fraind rounded out the top 10.
Tunkhannock topped Northwest and CMVT by 9-12 scores as part of a 2-1 day.
Berwick beat Tunkhannock, 13-23.
Northwest and CMVT were each 0-3 for the meet.
In the boys meet, Lake-Lehman’s Nick Hockenbury won in 17:17 to help the Black Knights to 3-0.
Berwick and Dallas each went 2-1 while Northwest and Tunkhannock were 1-2. CMVT was 0-3.
Northwest’s Oliver Heintzelman was second.
Bryce Phillips and Aiden Cotter from Dallas were third and fourth.
Lake-Lehman had four in the top nine, including Jacob Doran sixth, Spencer Smith seventh and Ahmad Dabsheh ninth.
