District 2 champions Molly DeMarzo from Crestwood and Nick Hockenbury from Lake-Lehman were among the competitors Nov. 27 when the Eastbay Cross Country Northeast Regionals at Van Cortland Park, Bronx, N.Y.
Eastbay is now title sponsor of what had been Foot Locker Cross Country Regionals and Nationals.
DeMarzo placed 93rd out of 148 in the girls championship race with a time of 20:20.9 for the 3.1-mile course.
The regional includes top high school cross country runners from Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington, D.C.
Hockenbury finished 145th of 232 in the boys championship race in 17:42.6.
Lake-Lehman’s Alana Palmaioli competed in the freshman-sophomore girls race and placed 50th out of 101 in 22:13.4.
