Both members of the 2022 District 2 Class 3A boys tennis doubles championship team from Abington Heights return this season, but they are playing with new partners.
The Abington Heights teams landed the top two seeds for the doubles tournament when it opens Wednesday at Wilkes University at 9 a.m.
Sam Christman and Domenic Peters are the top seeds while Luke Morgan and Praneel Mallaiah are the second seeds in Class 3A. Christman and Morgan combined for the title last season.
Scranton Prep’s Praneel Velaga and Ethan Borick are the top seeds in Class 2A, which also begins Wednesday at 9 a.m.
Kirby Park will be the site for the Class 2A tournament and will also host all of the semifinals and finals in both classes beginning Thursday at 1 p.m.
The top eight teams have been seeded and Class 3A and the top six have been seeded in Class 2A.
