Lackawanna Trail and Abington Heights added team scoring titles in the District 2 Individual Championships to the dual meet titles they had already won.
The success in the individual tournament part of the season solidified their 1-2 finish in the final Riverfront Sports Elite Eight Wrestling Power Rankings of District 2 teams.
Lackawanna Trail, the Lackawanna League Division 2 and District 2 Class 2A champion, finished first in the rankings. The Lions were first in the district, second in the region and 38th in the state in team scoring during the individual tournaments.
Abington Heights, the Lackawanna Division 1 and District 2 Class 3A champion, finished first in the district, third in the region and 40th in the state in team scoring during the individual tournaments.
Delaware Valley, Wyoming Area, Honesdale and Hazleton Area remained third through sixth, the positions they held at the end of the dual meet season.
Delaware Valley placed second in the district, fifth in the region and 23rd in the state in Class 3A. Wyoming Area was second in the district, fifth in the region and fourth in the state in Class 2A.
Honesdale was third in the district and 32nd in the region in Class 2A. Hazleton Area was sixth in the district and 19th in the region in Class 3A.
Wallenpaupack passed Wyoming Valley West into seventh place.
Both are Class 3A teams. Wallenpaupack was third in the district, 10th in the region and 53rd in the state. Wyoming Valley West was eighth in the district and 20th in the region.
