Dunmore piled up points early in its home opener Friday night.
Despite kicking off to start the game, the Bucks scored 14 points in the first 1:21 on the way to a 56-7 rout of Susquehanna in a non-league game between Lackawanna Football Conference teams.
The Bucks made the most of five first-half turnovers by the Sabers, opening leads of 28-0 after one quarter, 35-0 one play into the second quarter and 49-7 at the half.
The entire second half was played under the Mercy Rule.
Both teams came out of the game with 2-1 records.
Dunmore recovered a fumble at the Susquehanna 15 on the game’s third play.
Two plays later, Nico Ruggiero ran 15 yards of left tackle for the first of his three first-quarter touchdowns.
Dunmore forced another fumble on the ensuing kickoff return and Gabe Franek scooped it up and ran it in from the 20. Thomas Bowen rolled right and pass to Ruggiero for the two-pointer and 14-0 lead.
Bowen’s 7-yard pass to Nick Donvito made it 35-0 six seconds into the second quarter.
