DV, Dallas boys move up

The Delaware Valley and Dallas boys moved up while the Holy Redeemer boys rejoined the list of teams in the latest Riverfront Sports Super Six Swimming Power Rankings of District 2 teams.

The first rankings in two weeks – the previous week did not have any league meets – was released late Tuesday morning.

The girls rankings are unchanged.

Hazleton Area’s boys and Scranton Prep’s girls did not have any meets, but remained in the No. 1 spots.

Delaware Valley and Dallas each moved up one spot into second and third, sliding Wyoming Seminary down from second to fourth. The three teams remained unbeaten, combining to win four meets.

Scranton Prep, another team that did not have a meet, remained in fifth.

Holy Redeemer regained the sixth spot from Tunkhannock, which lost to Wyoming Seminary, 98-69.

The Scranton Prep girls are followed again, in order, by Dallas, Wyoming Seminary, Delaware Valley, Tunkhannock and Valley View.

Wyoming Seminary won twice, while Dallas and Delaware Valley won once each. Tunkhannock and Valley View held their spots after losing to Wyoming Seminary and Delaware Valley respectively.
