Dallas worked its way back from a sluggish start behind seven Cameron Faux 3-pointers to defeat visiting Boys’ Latin Charter from Philadelphia, 56-52, in a non-league boys basketball game Saturday.
Fox scored all 21 of his points from behind the arc.
Jude Nocito hit four 3-pointers while adding 14 points.
Boys’ Latin jumped out to an 11-2 lead, but Dallas closed within two by the end of the first quarter and made it to halftime within 24-22.
The Mountaineers (2-0) surged in front in the second half behind their 3-point shooting.
Perry Fields led Boys’ Latin with 19 points.
Dallas, a state semifinalist last season, is the No. 2 Big School in the Riverfront Sports Super Six Basketball Power Rankings of District 2 teams.
