Four teams extend win streaks

Four of the five teams that make up the Riverfront Sports Girls Lacrosse Power Rankings of District 2 teams extended winning streaks during the week.

There were no changes in the latest rankings, which were released late Friday night.

Crestwood won three times to remain unbeaten within the district and take a six-game winning streak into Saturday’s home game with No. 3 Scranton Prep, which also won three times to stretch the district’s longest active winning streak to nine.

No. 2 Abington Heights has the district’s best overall record at 11-1. The Comets won twice to put their win streak at four since suffering their only loss against Crestwood.

Crestwood handed No. 4 Dallas a 20-6 loss during the week.

Wyoming Area won three straight since facing Crestwood and held fifth.
