Zach Fox ran 70 and 63 yards for first-quarter touchdowns Friday night, sparking a 50-point first half for Nanticoke in a 64-18, Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 football rout of visiting Holy Redeemer.
Fox had 8 points in the first 14 seconds with his 70-yard touchdown and a two-point conversion. He later added a 46-yard touchdown run to finish with more than 300 rushing yards.
Mykal Julian ran for two touchdowns, including a 63-yarder, in the 28-point second quarter. Lucas Stachowiak also ran for two scores.
The Trojans opened the lead to 50-6 before Jacob Hunter threw his second touchdown pass in the closing seconds of the half. Hunter ran 60 yards for a third-quarter touchdown.
Nanticoke went well beyond 500 yards rushing while winning the game that decide third place in the division going into the last division game.
The Trojans improved to 3-2 in the division and 4-4 overall. The Royals fell to 2-3 and 3-5.
