Morgan Janeski scored 23 points Tuesday night as host Wyoming Area handed Wyoming Valley West its second straight defeat, 49-30, in a non-league girls basketball game.
Janeski had 11 points in the fourth quarter when she shot 7-for-10 at the foul line while helping Wyoming Area continue to pull away.
The Lady Warriors had already held the Lady Spartans to four points in the third quarter while expanding a two-point halftime lead to 33-23.
Anna Wisnewski added 14 points and 6 rebounds for Wyoming Area.
Wyoming Valley West, which had won five straight prior to Monday’s loss at Dallas, was led by Thalia Irizarry with nine points. The Lady Spartans fell to 12-5.
Wyoming Area has won five straight by an average of 26.8 points to improve to 11-6.

Mountain View 49, Holy Cross 43
Freshman Addison Kilmer had 15 points, 11 rebounds and 9 blocked shots to lead visiting Mountain View to the road win.
The win was the sixth in seven games for the Lady Eagles, who are 10-4 and the runaway leader to land the top seed in the District 2-11 Class A Subregional playoffs.
Ryleigh Kilmer added 11 points and Vanessa Harvey had 5 assists.
Abby Thompson led Holy Cross with 16 points.
Wyoming Seminary 61, Blue Ridge 32
Maddie Olshemski scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures for host Wyoming Seminary.
Olshemski had seven points when the Blue Knights took a 20-8 lead after one quarter.
Cassidy Skoranski added 12 points while Lexi Lichtenstein and Clare Griffin added 10 each.
Kaelynn Brant led Blue Ridge with nine points.
