Holy Redeemer, Berwick and Western Wayne remained unbeaten with girls volleyball victories Friday.
Seven of the day’s eight matches in District 2 ended in three-set sweeps.
The exception was Lake-Lehman beating Wilkes-Barre Area, 3-1, in the Wyoming Valley Conference.
The sweeps in the WVC were Holy Redeemer over Wyoming Area, Berwick over Hanover Area and Dallas over Wyoming Valley West.
Western Wayne defeated Abington Heights and North Pocono downed Lackawanna Trail in Lackawanna League Division 1 while Montrose beat Elk Lake in Lackawanna Division 2.
Kaylee Gryboski had 15 kills and 7 service points for Holy Redeemer in its 25-9, 25-14, 25-16 victory.
Evelyn Kilburn had 34 assists, 6 points and 2 digs. Eva Szura had 7 kills and 7 points. Isabelle Romano had 11 points.
Cecelia Isenberg had 9 aces in her 20 service points while leading the attack with 19 kills and also contributing 5 digs to Berwick’s 25-18, 25-14, 25-7 victory.
Camille Pinterich had 7 aces in her 19 points and also had 13 digs. Morgan Nevel had 21 assists, 5 digs, 4 kills and a block.
Kaeli Romanowski had 20 assists and 18 service points in Western Wayne’s 25-3, 25-13, 25-6 rout.
Katherine Shepherd had 10 kills, Allie Pauler added 5 and Skylar Long had 4 to go along with her 14 points.
