Zach Fox ran for three first-half touchdowns Thursday night when visiting Nanticoke secured the final spot in the District 2 Class 4A football playoffs with a 63-7 rout of rival Hanover Area in a Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 game.
Nanticoke finished third in the division at 4-2 while improving its overall record to 5-5.
Hanover Area lost its ninth straight to finish 0-6 and 1-9.
Fox scored on runs of 32, 9 and 58 yards as the Trojans built a 49-0 halftime lead. The second half was shortened to eight minutes each for the third and fourth quarters.
Jaylin Collins ran for two touchdowns for Nanticoke and Sophia Lukowski made all nine of her extra points.
