North Pocono and Old Forge each beat teams previously listed above them to move up this week when the Riverfront Sports Super Six Softball Power Rankings of District 2 teams were released Wednesday afternoon.
Tunkhannock and Mid Valley held the No. 1 positions.
The top three teams each in the Big Schools and the Small Schools all had 3-0 weeks.
Tunkhannock and Valley View remained unbeaten to hold first and second in Big Schools.
Pittston Area stayed in third.
North Pocono won four times to move up from sixth to fourth. The most recent of those wins came over Abington Heights, 11-10, Monday.
Hazleton Area and Abington Heights each dropped one position into fifth and sixth. Hazleton Area lost twice, 11-1 to Pittston Area and in a game against District 11’s Whitehall.
Mid Valley is followed by Elk Lake, Lake-Lehman and Holy Redeemer in the Small Schools.
Old Forge won both its games, including beating Riverside, 7-5, to trade places with the Lady Vikes, moving from sixth to fifth.
