North Pocono went all the way to the District 2 final as a Class 3A team last season, but will compete in Class 2A in girls tennis after realignment by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association.
The PIAA recalculates enrollment, separately for males and females, every two years and then adjusts the classifications each school is in for each sport.
North Pocono moves down from Class 3A to 2A while Valley View goes up from Class 2A to 3A.
The other 26 District 2 girls tennis teams remain in the same classifications as the previous two-year cycle.
