Karen Sickle struck out 12 in her second straight playoff one-hitter and Old Forge needed just five innings to finish off Lackawanna Trail, 12-1, Wednesday in the District 2 Class A softball championship game.
The game, at the University of Scranton, was delayed multiple times because of rain.
Lackawanna Trail led 1-0 after two innings, but Old Forge scored seven times in the top of the third to take control.
Meghan Marianelli led the offense, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.
The title was the third straight and ninth total for Old Forge.
The Lady Devils (11-8) return to the University of Scranton Monday at 1 p.m. to face District 4 runner-up Cowanesque Valley (18-5).
