Ella Smith scored 16 points to lead the way as Wallenpaupack defeated visiting Honesdale, 42-27, in a District 2 Class 5A girls basketball semifinal Feb. 23.
The win was the fourth in as many tries this season for the Lackawanna League Division 2 champion Lady Buckhorns over the Lady Hornets.
Wallenpaupack took a 10-5 lead after one quarter, but Honesdale closed to within 19-15 at halftime.
Erika Badner added 12 points in the win with the help of three 3-pointers.
