Wallenpaupack used five pins, including first-period finishes by Giovanni Lomonaco, Nicholas Skokos and Henry Baranowski, Saturday to defeat Pittston Area, 42-36, for the title of the Gary Woodruff Duals at Wyalusing Valley.
The Buckhorns and Patriots each went 4-0 to earn their spots in the championship match.
Wallenpaupack defeated Elk Lake (59-12), Nanticoke (60-9), Juniata (54-18) and the host Rams (48-27) to earn its spot in the final.
Jaden Colwell and Xaiden Schock had the other pins in the championship match.
Baranowski had four pins and a forfeit on the day at 189 and 215.
Schock worked with him at the same weight classes and also went 5-0 with four pins.
Lomonaco, Jaden Colwell, Gunnar Myers and Nicholas Skokasalso were 5-0.
Pittston Area defeated Pocono Mountain East (57-18), Valley View (48-7), Montrose (49-22) and Wyalusing (46-28).
James Spindler and David Sudo pinned all five opponents.
Julian Everitt went 5-0 with four pins and a forfeit.
There were nine District 2 teams entered in the event.
Montrose and Wyoming Area each went 3-2. Blue Ridge and Valley View finished 2-3. Scranton Prep and Nanticoke were 1-4. Elk Lake lost all five matches.
Anthony Evanitsky, Connor Novakowski, Jaden Pepe, Garret Pocceschi and Ethan Speece from Wyoming Area; Camryn Higgins, Patrick Marcinko and Michael Zipay from Valley View; Brayden Emel from Nanticoke; and Jamie Barrett from Scranton Prep all went 5-0.
