The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association released sites and times and made pairings official for Monday’s first-round games in its state baseball tournaments.
Hazleton Area, Abington Heights and Lake-Lehman all get to play close to home at District 2 sites at 4:30 p.m.
Monday’s schedule, with district-place finish and record for each team:
Class 6A – 2-1, Hazleton Area (22-0) vs. 1-3, Lansdale North Penn (14-6) at Mountain Top American League Field, 4:30 p.m.
Class 5A – 2-1, Abington Heights (13-6) vs. 3-3, Cocalico (16-4-1) at Schautz Stadium, Dunmore, 4:30 p.m.
Class 4A – 2-1, Wyoming Area (11-6) vs. 4-1, Midd-West (16-5) at Bowman Field, Williamsport, 6:30 p.m.
Class 3A – 2-1, Lake-Lehman (16-2) vs. 4-1, Loyalsock Township (16-6) at Pittston Area Primary Center, Hughestown, 4:30 p.m.
Class 3A – 2-2, Scranton Prep (6-12) vs. 11-1, Palisades (14-7) at Saucon Valley, Hellertown, 3 p.m.
Class 2A – 2-1, Riverside (21-0) vs. 4-1, Sayre or Southern Columbia at Bowman Field, Williamsport, 4 p.m.
