Raiders clinch at least tie for first in Lackawanna boys volleyball

Nick Laude had 20 kills and 5 aces Friday as Blue Ridge swept host Western Wayne, 25-17, 25-10, 25-5, to clinch no worse than a tie for first place in Lackawanna League boys volleyball.

The Raiders improved to 10-0 in the league, keeping them two matches in front of Abington Heights (8-2) with two to go. They are also 14-0 overall, the best record in District 2, to lead the race for the top seed in the Class 2A tournament.

Connor Cranage added 11 kills and 9 digs in the win.

Carson Gallagher led the Raiders with 34 assists and also had 6 digs. Aiden Glasgow had a team-high 10 digs. Morgan Thomas had seven kills and six digs.

Kayden Peifer had three kills for Western Wayne.

The Wildcats are 2-8 in the league and 4-9 overall.
