Maggie O’Shea scored 10 of her game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter as Scranton rallied past host Wallenpaupack, 52-49, in the District 2 Class 5A girls third-place game March 2.
The victory puts the Lady Knights into the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association state tournament as District 2’s third and final qualifier in Class 5A.
Finley Bittenbender, who hit 5 of the team’s 11 baskets from 3-point range, added 17 points in the win. O’Shea added four 3-pointers.
Grace Steffen scored 20 points and Ella Smith added 19 for Wallenpaupack.
