Ranked teams maintain status

The five teams that make up the Riverfront Sports Boys Lacrosse Power Rankings of District 2 teams continued to prove they are the best in the district and Wyoming Valley Conference.

After a week in which they collectively went 11-0 against the rest of the district by a margin of 193-39, the rankings again remained the same when they were posted late Monday morning.

There have been four sets of rankings this season with each putting the top five teams in the same order.

Wyoming Seminary remains No. 1 with Delaware Valley, Crestwood, Scranton Prep and Dallas following behind, in order.

The Blue Knights maintained their lead in the WVC by winning 17-2 over North Pocono, 18-6 over Tunkhannock and 26-2 over Holy Redeemer.

The only losses by the ranked teams came when Crestwood lost to Minisink Valley from New York State and Dallas lost to District 11’s Nazareth.
