Rankings intact going into playoffs

Boys lacrosse moves into the postseason Tuesday after a regular season in which all five teams in the Riverfront Sports Boys Lacrosse Power Rankings of District 2 teams held their positions though seven sets of weekly rankings.

Wyoming Valley Conference champion Wyoming Seminary is the No. 1 team as it gets set to open its District 2 Class 2A title defense as the top seed.

Delaware Valley, Crestwood, Scranton Prep and Dallas are second through fifth.

Wyoming Seminary suffered its second loss during the week, 18-9, to The Hun School. The only two losses by the Blue Knights have come against prep schools that are not part of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association.

The loss to The Hun School was the only one by a ranked team during the final week of the regular season.

Delaware Valley, which will participate in the District 2-11 Class 3A Subregional, won three times. The Warriors head to the postseason on a nine-game winning streak in which they have scored at least 21 goals in all but one of the games.

Crestwood won twice and Scranton Prep once while Dallas had already completed its season.

This is the final set of rankings until after all District 2 teams have completed their regular season.
